The live performances from Hope For Haiti Now, last night’s telethon to benefit the nation’s earthquake victims, have been released in the iTunes Store as a $7.99 album with “100% of proceeds” going to the same combination of charitable organizations that were the recipients of the telethon’s proceeds.
The album includes live performances from Wyclef Jean, Bruce Springsteen, Mary J. Blige, Shakira, Sting, Alicia Keys, Christina Aguilera, Dave Matthews, John Legend, Justin Timberlake, Stevie Wonder, and Taylor Swift, along with both a live and a studio-recorded version of the “Stranded (Haiti Mon Amour)” collaboration from Jay-Z, Bono, The Edge, and Rihanna.
Hope For Haiti Now, which had been available for pre-order even before the telethon took place, is currently at #1 on the overall iTunes album chart and can be found here in the iTunes Store.
